Sepultura

Postby Metalboy » Mon Aug 11, 2008 12:17 am

Sepultura (Portuguese: Grave) is a Brazilian thrash/death metal band, formed in 1984 in Belo Horizonte.[5] The band was a major force in the death metal and thrash metal realms during the late 1980s and early 1990s, leading the Brazilian thrash metal scene, and later experiments melding hardcore punk, industrial rock, and indigenous Brazilian music with extreme metal provided a blueprint for the groove metal and hardcore metal subgenres.

Sepultura gained multiple gold and platinum records across the globe, including countries such as France, Australia, Indonesia, United States and their native Brazil, sold over 15 million units worldwide.

The band has released ten studio albums so far, and another one has been announced to be released in 2008. Their most successful records are Arise (1991), Chaos A.D. (1993) and Roots (1996), each of them having surpassed the one million mark, worldwide.

* 1986: Morbid Visions
* 1987: Schizophrenia
* 1989: Beneath the Remains
* 1991: Arise
* 1993: Chaos A.D.
* 1996: Roots
* 1998: Against
* 2001: Nation
* 2003: Roorback
* 2006: Dante XXI
* 2008: A-Lex

Anyways , one of the best thrash bands of brazil together with violator and korzus!!!the change beetween arise to roots was intence. From thrash to new wave of thrash,metalcore. However they still remained one of my favourite bands.Maxs voice was awsome and brutal as fuck, Kissers solos and melodies awsome, Igors drumming = machine, eh whop cares about paolo.

Favourite album= ARISE!!!!!!
